Blackgates is a two form entry community Primary School, catering for children between the ages of three to eleven years, with our youngest pupils starting on a part time basis, attending a morning or afternoon session. At the beginning of the academic year in which they are five, children attend on a full time basis, moving through Foundation, Key Stage One and Key Stage Two.

We are proud of our recently extended, accessible school, which is set in beautiful grounds. The combination of green spaces and hard standing areas allows us to provide excellent sporting facilities. We have a large hall, separate dining area and spacious classrooms. Our state of the art ICT facilities have recently been upgraded. We are focusing on the use of interactive whiteboards and enhanced Internet provision to make learning stimulating. We also value traditional forms of learning and have invested substantial amounts into the creation of our new library. The Arts play a key role within our school. We have a newly created Music Room, where our talented musicians practice and develop their skills. Our brand new Foundation and Key Stage One extension offers every child the very best start.

Nursery: Morning Session 9.00-11.30am; Afternoon Session 12.45-3.15pm

Foundation/Key Stage One: 8.50am-3.20pm

Key Stage Two: 8.50am-3.30pm

• Red Sweatshirt/cardigan (bright pillar box red)
• White polo shirt or school shirt
• Black/grey skirt/trousers
